A Memorable Spring Saturday on Campus
April 26, 2025
Dear Campus Community,
What an exceptional season of community engagement we've enjoyed! I'm writing to express my sincere appreciation for your remarkable contributions to our recent campus events, with special note to a particularly busy Saturday, 4/26 on our beautiful campus.
Spring Open House, Auto Tech Car Show, Athletics Events, and More
The Spring Open House was nothing short of spectacular. Visitors repeatedly commented on the welcoming atmosphere and impressive displays throughout our campus. From the engaging Academic Showcases to the bustling Activity Zone; the helpful staff at Registration, Financial Aid, and the Planetarium to the impressive Auto Tech Car Show; from the various Athletic events in process and more, every element reflected our commitment to excellence while demonstrating the pride that you each radiate on behalf of our campus family to the community.
I noticed packed attendance at the Planetarium Shows, meaningful conversations during the Parent Q&A sessions, and countless positive interactions at every turn. The campus truly came alive through your efforts. Students, faculty, staff, and administrators from all aspects of campus contributed to making this a truly superb day for our community, future students, and their families. Thank you!
California History Center Event
The "A Taste of History" event brought equal distinction to our college later in the evening. The newly unified archives now housed within the California History Center building represent a significant achievement for our institution.
The evening featured thoughtful panel discussions, beautiful student performances, compelling exhibitions, and genuine hospitality that embodied our commitment to making history relevant and accessible.
The Difference You Make
Your extra hours, creative problem-solving, and unwavering enthusiasm throughout these events (and more) have created lasting impressions on our visitors and strengthened vital community connections.
These successful events don't happen by chance—they happen because of YOUR dedication to our students and our educational mission. Your work not only showcases what makes our college special today, but it helps build a stronger foundation for tomorrow.
Thank you for bringing your best to these important occasions. Our college community shines brightest when we come together, and your willingness to be on campus during this eventful weekend is most appreciated.
With sincerest gratitude for all that you do,
Omar
